The Academy is pleased to announce that Alex Trickett, Head of Sport at Twitter, has joined this year's speaker lineup. With his vast experience and expertise in social media, Trickett will share practical tools and tips with sport leaders on how to reach out to fans and new audiences worldwide.
As the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro are quickly approaching, what better way to learn from the best in the business on how to communicate about your athletes’ and your country’s results at the Games, to engage in new and innovative ways with your fans and to get more supporters for your sport? In a presentation specifically tailored for sport federations of all sizes, Trickett will share the most up to date, concrete and original tools to reach out to your audience in the most innovative way. He will focus on Twitter, Vine and Periscope, three of the most cost-effective, user-friendly and popular platforms.
Trickett said: “It has never been easier to reach out to so many people as it is right now. Every sport federation, whether it operates on a national or international level, has the potential to engage with billions of fans worldwide! All they need is to know how to successfully use the most up to date social media platforms: Twitter, Vine and Periscope. I want every sport leader at the Academy in June to leave with the right tools and tips to be successful on social media and transfer their passion for their sport to their audience!”
Alex Trickett is a rich addition to the prestigious list of speakers that will present at this year’s Academy – stay tuned in the next few weeks for further exciting announcements!
